About Kathy West, L.Ac.
|
Kathy West, L.A.c. graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After her undergraduate studies, Kathy worked in the field of social services. During this time, while practicing martial arts, Kathy injured her back and had to go in for surgery. After the operation, Kathy was still experiencing post-operative pain and decided to try acupuncture. Acupuncture proved to be very successful in assisting in returning all nerve function in her back, which the doctor was unsure would ever happen. Inspired by how well acupuncture was able to restore her health, Kathy attended Oregon College of Oriental Medicine where she received her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Kathy is licensed to practice acupuncture in both Oregon and Washington. |

Kathy has owned a private practice since 1993, practicing for seventeen years in Portland, Oregon. Kathy has also worked on projects such as the Immune Enhancement Project, a clinic specializing in the treatment of HIV patients, Multiple Sclerosis patients, and cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Kathy moved her practice to Spokane in May of 2010 |
